OLMC Kids Raffle

This year's raffle prizes are:

  • First Prize = $1500
  • Second Prize = $750
  • Third Prize = $250

Tickets are $2 each or 6 Tickets for $10. The winners do not need to be present to win.

Turn in dates: Every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:158:15am starting Tue, Feb 26

Jeans Day for 2-Liter Donations

Each student is asked to bring in three 2-liter bottles of soda for this year's festival ring toss. This is one of the most popular events at the festival so we need everyone to pitch in. Each class with 100% participation will earn an afternoon recess/Otter Pop party. Please bring in your bottles of soda between Mon, Mar 3 but no later than Thu, Apr 4. Thank you for your support!

The 74th Annual Our Lady of Mount Carmel “Connect with Us” Festival is coming up soon on April 6th which will be a fun family celebration with plenty of food, silent and live auction items, rides and games for the kids and of course the Super Raffle. The annual festival is our single fundraising event that supports our school and enables us to continue to develop, maintain and expand our school and to provide a quality, affordable Catholic education to the children of our parish and community.

The OLMC Parish Festival Auction Committee is looking for donations to the silent and live auctions, and every donation helps. Some favorite past items include:

You can also make a donation of Food for Thought gift cards, which you can purchase in the school office. Do you have Christmas or birthday gifts you would like to regift or things you meant to return but never got around to it? Perhaps you want to clean out your gift stash or birthday closet, or maybe you have season tickets you are not going to be able to use. Please consider asking for a donation from businesses you patronize. Know a business seeking additional advertising exposure? We're happy to promote the businesses who sponsor our festival. You can drop off your donations in the school office.

Kickoff Coffree - March 1

Home & School is hosting a "Coffree" social on: Friday, March 1, 2019 before school in McCready Hall We'll be kicking off our 2019 "Connect with Us" Parish Festival with our usual coffee and treats. Stop by with your presale forms and purchase your festival t-shirts, souvenir beverage cups, super raffle tickets and tickets for food, rides, and games for the festival. Representatives from this year's festival will be present to answer any questions you have.

Festival T-Shirts on Sale Feb 21

Come pick up your 2019 "Connect with Us" festival t-shirt! Sales are every Tuesday and Thursday starting Thursday, February 21 until the festival. T-shirts are $10.00 each. Adult and child sizes available. Festival t-shirts jeans days are March 7 and April 1 as well as school spirit days.

Festival Volunteer Opportunities

The festival committee is searching for volunteers to fill and shadow the following lead positions:

  • Executive Committee Chairman for Games & Booths (shadow)
  • Book Sale Lead
  • Sno-Cone, Popcorn & Ice Cream Lead
  • Volunteer Coordinator (shadow)

The leads would be responsible for tasks leading up to the festival and day of the festival including setting up, overseeing the festival day volunteers, and cleaning up. Contact our festival chairman, Jamon Reval, for more information.

Festival Signup Goes Live Feb 21

The 2019 "Connect with Us" Parish Festival is fast approaching, and in order for the festival to run smoothly and efficiently, each family is required to work the festival a minimum of 6 hours.
2 hours may be completed prior to Festival Week
4 hours must be completed during Festival Week

Each family has been assigned a Family ID that will be included in festival packets that will be sent home in the coming weeks.

This family ID is required to sign up for all volunteers. For additional questions or concerns, please contact Ashley Hall. Thank you for supporting the OLMC festival.

Food Handler's Card Required for Festival Food Booths

According to the Maricopa County Environmental Health Code, Chapter VII, Reg. 1 (C), anyone who handles, prepares, serves, sells, or gives away food for consumption by persons other than his or her immediate family, or who handles food utensils and equipment must have a food handlers card. Food handler cards are valid for three (3) years.

Festival volunteers signing up for any food booth, including snow cone, cotton candy and popcorn, require a valid food handler’s card. Bake sale volunteers do not need a food handler’s card. If you have already completed the food handler training, you are covered. Please bring a copy of your food handlers card and give it to Ashley Hall when checking in for your scheduled shift.
