Dear OLMC Community,

Thank you so much for the outpouring of support for the Gala! This was such a wonderful evening and very well done! It could not have been as successful if it were not for all of the auction donations and volunteers. It was great to see so many new families too!! I will share final numbers when I receive them!

Upcoming events for this week:

Monday: Dads’ Club Meeting at 6:00pm at Fate Brewery on Southern.

Friday: 8th graders are attending their retreat at Pinerock. I will send an additional email with reminders tomorrow.

Upcoming:

Fall Festival preparation is in full swing! Parents should have received an email from the homeroom parent pertaining to specific information. If not, I have included it below:

The OLMC Fall Festival will be on Saturday, October 29, from 3:00-5:00pm on the field. There will be crafts, pony rides, food, 50/50 raffle, and decorated trunks with candy at the event. For the trunks, we are asking families to consider bringing and decorating their vehicle. See the attached document for more information. If you have any questions, please contact alma.a.douglas@gmail.com.

To sign-up for a trunk, fill out this form: forms.gle/JsgQR9kB3zDWgNg47

We are also looking for volunteers. To sign-up for volunteer positions: www.signupgenius.com/go/8050D4BAEAC2BA5FD0-olmc2

In preparation to provide candy and party favor items, we are asking families to help with the collection of candy bags and party favors. If your child is in an A class (preschool-3s & young 4s, KA, 1A, 2A, etc.) please bring in a bag of candy. If your child is in B class (pre-k, KB, 1B, 2B, etc.) please bring party favors. The due date for the candy/favors is Friday, October 28.

Upcoming Events:

Social Media Presentation for Parents
An information night about social media for parents in grades will be held in McCready Hall on Wednesday, October 26 from 6:00-7:00pm. This will be a preview of a presentation that will be given to the children in grades 5th-8th on Thursday, October 27. The presenter is our school counselor, Christie States. This is not a mandatory meeting, but highly suggested. Any parent who’d like to attend, even if your student is not in grades 5th-8th, are more than welcome to attend as well. See below for the flier.

Dads’ Club Movie Night
Dads’ Club is hosting a movie night on the field on November 12th. More information to come!

Looking forward to a great week!
