These are the clubs and sports offered at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Click on the name of the club to sign up.

Club Description Cost
Sports Registration 5th-8th Grade students may compete in OLMC Sports.
There are 3 sports seasons
Fall: Girls Volleyball and Boys Flag Football
Winter: Girls Softball and Boys Basketball
Spring Girls Basketball and Boys Baseball
$75 per sport
Little Flowers Kindergarten-3rd grade girls learn the virtues through scripture, saints’ biographies, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and fun crafts and projects. $50 per year
Little Women 4th-5th grade girls learn the virtues through scripture, saints’ biographies, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and fun crafts and projects. $50 per year
Young Men for Christ 2nd-8th grade young men work to enhance and develop their relationship with Christ and incorporate God’s spiritual works on Earth through Fellowship, Prayer, Reflection, and Adoration. $50 per year
Choir 2nd-8th graders students develop their signing abilities and sing at school and some Sunday Masses! $50 per year
Orchestra (Register through TOPNA) 2nd-8th graders Classes will be held onsite twice a week, in a dynamic orchestra setting, with a focus on foundational string instruments. $140/month (Paid through TOPNA)
Chess Club
(Register through Chess Emporium)
Kindergarten-8th graders learn and play chess! We partner with Chess Emporium to give students the opportunity to learn chess and improve their game skills. Studies by major corporations and universities have shown that chess can help students increase their math and verbal skills, as well as their creative and critical thinking abilities. Interested students are invited to participate in community chess competitions. $239 per semester (Paid through the Chess Emporium)
Art Club 3rd-5th grade students develop their art skills with a little Spanish sprinkled in with professional artist and OLMC Spanish Teacher, Andrea Perusquia! $50 per year
Craft Club (Limited space available) 5th-8th grade students create fun crafts including jewelry, canvas art, hand lettering, flower crafts, and sewing. $50 per semester
Running Club 1st-8th graders run once a week during their lunch recess and can run in various fun runs and races. $50 per year
Speech and Debate Club 5th-8th graders Students learn to research, analyze information, construct arguments, and present them effectively. They also develop critical thinking skills, learn to listen actively, and build confidence in public speaking $50 per year
Imprints of Honor 7th-8th graders This club connects students and veterans in order to honor veterans, preserve America’s heritage, and develop future leaders. Its goal is to develop students' character and civic responsibility, while recognizing our veterans' legacy of service. $50 per year
Junior Engineering (sign up coming soon) 7th-8th graders Students learn the basics of circuits and electrical engineering through hands-on activities. $50 per year
OLMC Altar Serving (sign up coming soon) 4th-8th graders that have received the sacraments of Communion and Confirmation. Altar servers will serve school Masses and weekend Masses. Joseph Malzone (liturgy@olmctempe.com) will reach out to interested servers. No cost
Math Counts (sign up coming soon) 6th-8th graders expand their math skills and compete in Math competitions against other schools. $50 per year
Catholic Academic Jr. High Decathlon (sign up coming soon) 6th-8th grade compete against other Catholic schools’ teams’ knowledge of Roman Catholic doctrine, English, Literature, Science, Mathematics, Current Events, Social Studies, and Fine Arts (Art and Music). $50 per year
Guitar Club (sign up coming soon) 4th-8th graders learn the basics of guitar. There is a beginner and intermediate class. $50 per year
Battle of the Books (sign up coming soon) 5th-6th graders read 12 pre-assigned books over the course of the school year and compete against other schools in their knowledge of the books. $50 per year
Girl Scouts (Sign up with Mrs. Inzunza) Kindergartners-8th graders participate in Brownies, and Girl Scout packs help to foster character building, citizenship training, and teamwork through safe and family-oriented programs. $25 Registration + Additional Costs (Paid through Girl Scouts)
Cub Scouts (Sign up with Mrs. LaBelle) Kindergartners-5th graders join the OLMC Scout packs and foster character building, citizenship training, and teamwork through safe and family-oriented programs. $125 per year (Paid through Scouts)
Student Leadership Team (Applications only) 7th and 8th graders can apply to join the student leadership team, which works to support the school in numerous roles. From mentoring those in the younger grades, leading various charitable drives throughout the school year, planning activities, and supporting students and teachers in the classroom, these young men and women look to develop school pride and promote community. No cost
Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy (Applications only) 7th and 8th graders can participate in this national leadership academy focused on developing leadership skills and impact through action. No cost
